Whether made applicable as a “manual”, I think it’s quite a compelling read into the elements of our psyche, its limits – and what lies beyond. No trivia or quizzes yet. An eye opening interpretation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead which seeks to both explain each Bardo and their sub categories while giving tips on how to achieve enlightenment and remain ego-free when experiencing them. I don’t necessarily agree that it’s all in your head. Insightful and bountiful with techniques bound to and free from the Tibetan Book.

You don’t need them, apparently, but at the very least they are interesting and can lead to development. Timothy Francis Leary was an American writer, psychologist, futurist, modern pioneer and advocate of psychedelic drug research and use, and one of the first people whose remains have been sent into space.
With psychedelics such as acid, DMT, or psilocybin, you can get straight, overt alien contact. I think the new introduction offers a lot of perspective 40 years later and really sets the stage for the writings of Leary and so forth.

This viewpoint made it more clear for me and provided various levels to consider to omrtos and states of mind and transitions in general.
Very interesting translation, and I’m thankful for it as honestly I’ve had some trouble plowing through others. He coined and popularized the catch phrase “Turn on, tune in, drop out. Perhap “The Psychedelic Experience” is one of the premier classics of psychedelic literature.
