I did not love this book, at all, but can acknowledge that Thiselton clearly knows his history of hermeneutics. But, considering the fact that I was hoping for a practical guide for hermeneutical approaches only to find a mind-numbing philosophical history of the big names is hermeneutical development, I was disappointed and frustrated with the read. I cannot say that “I really liked” this book, so I cannot give it 4 stars.
