It seems that several previous sets leadkng errors have been ironed out in the edition. It’s pleasingly evident that the material and the way its parts interrelate were in the forefront of the authors’ minds when they conceived of this book; and not merely a way to build a “course” that would fit a homogenous college syllabus.
If you are looking for a single volume, that’s unpretentious and comprehensive, extremely well written and likely to accord with your understanding of the importance of harmony in musical history, this one can be recommended wholeheartedly.
