Contact the government department that deals with that benefit see the above or write to the address on your award letter and ask for the award to be changed because of a terminal illness. Your immigration status could be affected if you apply for benefits when you’re not eligible.
Once you apply you’ll get a decision back within about 2 weeks. This will be useful if you need to refer to them later.
