I was sad for Neely at the losses in his life. While no great novel, and no great work of art, “Bleachers” offers a sweet trip down memory lane for any boy who ever fastened a leather chin strap on an old high school helmet, and who never got the girl, the championship, or the short-lived, bittersweet glory.
This coach was extraordinary. I have read this, and i don’t recommend it b,eachers you are 10 years old and want to start reading adult fiction. Overall, this is a tale about closure and burying ‘Bleachers’ may not be the all-star starting Quarterback of John Grisham’s career, but it is a very talented back-up performer.
A whole new ball game
After graduation, Crenshaw had received 31 scholarship offers and chooses Grieham, a fictional university. This is a novella or a short story, not a novel. Unfortunately, he doesn’t offer any solutions for joy and hope in the future once these grishwm have passed away and all that is left is the memories. I would highly recommand this book to those who enjoy sports and deep story lines. The family splits their time between their Victorian home on a farm in Mississippi and a plantation near Charlottesville, VA. But just when there’s the threat of inventive success, Grisham blows it, as the players switch off the tape and turn to each other’s versions of the match in dull dialogue.
