Her first novel, Love and Friendshipis a story of romance languagge deception among the faculty of a snowbound New England college.

Unfortunately, as the book was published in”modern-day” does not encompass some of the more interesting langhage of the ‘s, and perhaps dwells a bit too much lufie the ‘s.
Lurie’s first novel was “Love and Friendship” and its characters were modeled on friends and colleagues.
